BOUNCE is in full swing!

Today was the second day that BOUNCERS rehabilitated homes on their ministry worksites. Students are getting the hang of their various tasks and are genuinely excited and eager to continue working on their projects. Groups from all different churches are getting along well as they work together to share hope with the families they serve.

BOUNCE has been already covered by several media outlets this week, appearing on radio and in newspapers. Several students and leaders were willing to share some of their experiences so far from the week. Sutton Lowe, a second-time BOUNCER from First Baptist Church Lufkin, said that he enjoys BOUNCE because it helps his youth group grow closer to each other and closer to God. He also enjoys the opportunity to make friends from other youth groups.

Lloyd Wells, associate pastor at Spring Creek Fellowship in Big Spring, is serving as a team leader this week. He said that the most encouraging thing about the week has been the relationship the team has developed with the homeowner they are serving. The homeowner has even brought her grandchildren to the house to meet the team and they've even helped the team paint. The leaders as well as the BOUNCERS have been interacting with the entire family, asking them about their relationships with the Lord and serving as encouragers for the family.
