First Bounce Church Planting Mission in Dallas, TX!

by Cecily McIlwain on July 23, 2019 in BOUNCE

The Bounce team is happy to welcome First Baptist Church El Paso to Duncanville, TX for our first ever Bounce Church Planting missions experience! We are thankful for our lodging facility, Duncanville’s First Baptist Church, and the accommodations they have made for us.

Our church planters this week include Ernest Yancy at Blueprint International Sanctuary in Arlington, TX, Chris Walker at Kingdom Church in Mesquite, TX, Salvador Rivas at Healing Hands Community Church in Dallas, TX, and David Miranda at West End Church in Dallas, TX. Students will be able to participate in a wide variety of community outreach and church ministry. We will post an update each day about what is happening at their ministry sites.

We are confident this will be a great week thanks to the hard work of Mission Coordinator, Nathan Buchanan, Planter Coordinator, Clay Jacobson, and Worship Speaker, Tom Howe. Students will begin their day receiving training in church planting with Clay and head out to their ministry sites after lunch. Our days end with worship together (and a few moments of fun before bedtime).

This is going to be a great week of ministry! Would you partner with us by praying for Bouncers as they step out of their comfort zones to serve church plants in Dallas, TX? We will be challenging students to share their faith at least once this week. This can be scary and intimidating for students (and everyone else too!). Pray that we all have the confidence to share our stories. No one can mess up their life story of faith in Jesus, right? These stories are our own. Thank you for your prayers and support.

"For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline." 2 Timothy 1:7

Texas Baptists is a movement of God’s people to share Christ and show love by strengthening churches and ministers, engaging culture and connecting the nations to Jesus.

The ministry of the convention is made possible by giving through the Texas Baptists Cooperative Program, Mary Hill Davis Offering® for Texas Missions, Texas Baptists Worldwide and Texas Baptist Missions Foundation. Thank you for your faithful and generous support.
