Go Time

Participants awoke bright and early this morning to eat breakfast and head out to their worksites. 7am was Go Time, when we commissioned our students and sent them out to serve Christ in the Dallas community. Brian Pearce, Mission Coordinator, encouraged them by reminding them of the gospel and the motivation that comes from being loved by God and desiring make him known.

BOUNCERS dove into work for their first day at seven different worksites around Duncanville. We are thankful for the local Baptist churches that provided lunches to these hardworking students! The students will be at their individual sites until Friday of this week to rehabilitate homes in the community.

The evening always concludes with a worship service to praise God for who He is, and to hear teaching from His word. Randy Beggs continued walking through Matthew 5 by focusing on verse six. He emphasized that righteousness comes through Christ, and that He is the source of true satisfaction. Rather than turning to other means, pursuing Christ is the response to God’s grace in our lives.

We are thankful to God for a great first day of work for our students. Please pray for continued safety for our students, and for the Lord to be glorified in their work.
