Great First Day in Victoria

by Cecily McIlwain on July 16, 2019 in BOUNCE

Students got their day going with enthusiastic tunes and a delicious breakfast. It is always such a joy to spend the morning with students. Hearing their stories and affirming their dreams is one of the greatest joys for the Bounce team!

Bouncers came back to our lodging facility today a little stinky and full of great stories from an amazing first day. One group that spent most of the day working on a roof was also able to meet their homeowner. They were met by a man in a wheelchair (the homeowner) at their worksite who immediately expressed gratitude and asked to be prayed over by the team. We are so happy that Bouncers were able to start their week off with such a great relationship. They even FaceTimed the homeowner’s wife who was away at work.

Each group endured exceptionally hot and humid temperatures today but it never broke their spirit. We love our Bouncers and the adult leaders who are investing in them as well as serving alongside them this week.

"You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love."

Galatians 5:13
