Hunger Offering turns 20!

We’re 20 years old! Being out of our teens means that you -- churches and individuals who give -- have helped us grow and mature.

As we look back at two decades of the Texas Baptist Hunger Offering helping people overcome poverty, it is astonishing. In those 20 years, more than $15 million have been raised to help people feed their families and get out of poverty.

So now, we are ready to celebrate as a Texas Baptist family and you are invited.

  • What: 20th Anniversary Hunger Luncheon
  • Who: You! And our Hunger Offering friends -- churches, past and present CLC staff (with a special video hello from Suzii Paynter), and ministries.
  • When: Tuesday, Nov. 15, 11:45 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.
  • Where: BGCT Annual Meeting, Waco Convention Center, Texas Room North
  • Why: Celebrate 20 years and millions of dollars raised to help fight hunger and poverty in Texas and around the world.
  • How: Register online at . Cost is $25 per person. Limited seating available.

The program will reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and look toward the future of the Offering. We are looking forward to conversations about the Offering’s origin with pioneers Joe Haag, Carolyn Strickland, and Joyce Gilbreath. We will also hear stories of transformation on the field.

Come enjoy fellowship with fellow anti hunger advocates, Texas Bar-b-que, and of course, birthday cake!
