Monday Mineral Wells

Mission Mineral Wells is officially underway. Our churches have arrived from all around Texas and even New Mexico! It is great to see churches of different denominations come together to serve and worship the Lord. We have a total of six churches in Mineral Wells this week ready to engage this town for the gospel. Our participants are eager to help the community by doing porch repairs, trim, siding, painting, and roofing. These skills are valuable for the students to learn, but more importantly we are praying for hearts to be changed as God moves this week.

We kicked off the week with the BOUNCE Bash, a high-energy time of playing games and learning the expectations for the week. Students got to play a giant game of Jenga and answer questions about the rules of BOUNCE. It is a good time to have fun while being productive as the groups arrive.

Every evening, BOUNCERS participate in a worship service in which there we worship through song, by hearing about a Missions Moment, and hearing from a speaker about the Bible. This week, our worship speaker is Dwayne Ulmer. He will be speaking all week about the Beatitudes from the book of Matthew.

Tonight during worship, we discussed Texas Baptists Disaster Recovery. BOUNCE collects a missions offering that allows students to be part of recovery in other locations that have been struck by weather events. This year, the offering will benefit this Disaster Recovery organization and help move efforts toward southeast Texas.

Texas Baptists is a movement of God’s people to share Christ and show love by strengthening churches and ministers, engaging culture and connecting the nations to Jesus.

The ministry of the convention is made possible by giving through the Texas Baptists Cooperative Program, Mary Hill Davis Offering® for Texas Missions, Texas Baptists Worldwide and Texas Baptist Missions Foundation. Thank you for your faithful and generous support.
