Bouncers assembled sixty-six hygiene kits for Texas Baptist’s River Ministry. These kits contain essentials like toothpaste, a toothbrush, shampoo, and soap. The River Ministry gives these kits to families that participate in free health conferences and health clinics. They are also used in prison ministries along the border.
These gifts recognize the humanity in those who may be in need of resources and encouragement. It is hard to be away from home without resources, friends, community, and perhaps even a language barrier. Praise God that all are welcome to draw near to Him. Bouncer’s simple act of love and service this evening demonstrated a heart of reconciliation. In the Kingdom of God, there is only one community. No one is an “other.” By taking time to assemble kits that will help people who are, for whatever reason, finding themselves at either side of the border Bouncers are saying: I hear you, I love you, I want you to be a part of this family, you shouldn’t be alone, and you shouldn’t be without basic resources because you are a creation of the Living God.
We are thankful for our students loving hearts and hard work today. Please pray for endurance as they finish out their last day tomorrow.
