Updated Coronavirus online training

by Danilo Antunes-Vieira on March 18, 2020 in COVID-19

MinistryGrid released training to help churches prepare a pandemic response plan, specifically in regard to the coronavirus. In the days since this new training on MinistryGrid was released, the government and CDC have released additional guidelines on social distancing. Gatherings of more than 10 people are discouraged or even prohibited in some areas. Many churches now find themselves in much different circumstances than our initial advanced planning phases.

We want to do our due diligence and recognize that churches may now feel like they’re scrambling to continue ministering and making disciples in difficult circumstances.

Because of this, MinistryGrid has updated their initial training to reflect updated CDC recommendations and guidelines, and have also added these 4 new trainings:

  • Digital Small Groups
  • How to Work Remotely
  • How to Livestream Your Church Service
  • Digital Pastoral Care

This training should be considered a starting point for you that is contextualized for your local community. To access this training, go to: https://etraining.texasbaptists.org/#/account

After signing in, search for “Coronavirus” in the search bar.

MinistryGrid is a LifeWay product with thousands of tools available to you. Normally, this product is sold individually to churches, but through the cooperative efforts of the Texas Baptists, it is our free gift to you.

Texas Baptists is a movement of God’s people to share Christ and show love by strengthening churches and ministers, engaging culture and connecting the nations to Jesus.

The ministry of the convention is made possible by giving through the Texas Baptists Cooperative Program, Mary Hill Davis Offering® for Texas Missions, Texas Baptists Worldwide and Texas Baptist Missions Foundation. Thank you for your faithful and generous support.
