Faith Fosters Texas seeks to solve the foster care crisis
Buck and Stephanie Baskins, members of Lakepointe Church in Rockwall, see foster care and adoption as a spiritual response to a societal issue.
The Baskins, who are originally from Mesquite, adopted their children, Niki and James, after fostering through Buckner International for four years. They also have a biological child, Selah, and they continue serving as foster parents.
The Baskins make a life-altering difference in the lives of the children they foster or adopt, but there are still more than 29,000 children in the foster care system. There is a need for many more families who are willing to take children into their homes, and for many others who are willing to support them.
Faith Fosters Texas is a coalition of Texas Baptist institutions that seeks to engage every Texas Baptist church in solving the foster care problem in our state.
David Hardage, Texas Baptists executive director, said, “Faith Fosters Texas is the place where Texas Baptists can change the future of our most vulnerable children and provide homes for every abandoned, neglected or abused child in the child welfare system.”

Faith Fosters Texas busca resolver la crisis de la acogida de menores
