Meet the Team

Dr. Frugé serves as the Director of the Center for Cultural Engagement and the Director of the Christian Life Commission. She holds both an M-Div. and Ph.D. Her doctorate focused on the image of God, which she believes is foundational for a holistic understanding of advocacy and human dignity and worth. Since joining the CLC, she has worked to help highlight various issues surrounding cyclical poverty including food insecurity, education disparities, racial reconciliation, and access to healthcare. She is also a stomach cancer survivor, special needs parent, broadway enthusiast, coffee drinker, and busy mom to three young daughters.

Rev. Evans serves as the Director of Public Policy for the CLC. He graduated from Morehouse College with a BA in Political Science. He received his Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary in May, 2020. He was ordained for ministry on Dec. 27th, of the same year, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Mansfield, TX.

His political experience includes serving as a field representative for Congressman Marc Veasey, who serves Texas’ Congressional District 33 in the House of Representatives. He has also spoken at town hall meetings on behalf of churches and is comfortable voicing spiritual beliefs in a secular setting. He has also served in various capacities at multiple churches. He is passionate about youth development and was the Princeton Young Achievers Site Director, where he coordinated afterschool tutoring for low-income students at a local school.

Dr. Sanchez serves as the Director of Ethics & Justice at the CLC. After getting a BA at Howard-Payne University in ESL, he earned a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies with a Missions minor. His Master’s thesis was entitled: "Paul's Instructions to the Corinthians Concerning Idol Meat: Principles for Decision Making in Grey Areas." He also holds a Ph.D in New Testament Studies.

Dr. Sanchez has over 20 years of ministry experience, including 11 years as the Youth Pastor at Chinese Baptist Church of Fort Worth. In addition to his roles in ministry, he has taught college and seminary courses in Biblical Greek, New Testament Introduction, and ESL. His teaching style is creative and engaging, and often incorporates the use of a ukulele.

Rebecca Trevino serves as the Ministry Assistant for the CLC. She holds a BA at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Political Science.

Rebecca has been with the Chrisitan Life Commission since 2018, overseeing administrative functions and connecting with ministry partners. She is reliable, intentional, and is the friendly voice that will most likely greet you when you call the CLC office. Rebecca enjoys movies, running, and exploring Austin with her new puppy, Mila.
