Mission statement
Texas Baptists is a movement of God’s people to share Christ and show love by strengthening churches and ministers, engaging culture, and connecting the nations to Jesus.

Governance
A 90-member board of directors meets three times annually to conduct the business of the convention, and messengers from affiliated churches meet annually to elect officers, approve the budget, and otherwise plan and direct the ministry of the convention.
