The heart of GC2 Strong beats with a simple but powerful rhythm: love God well, love our neighbors tangibly and make disciples of all nations (Acts 1:8). These foundational principles, drawn from the Great Commandment and Great Commission, define every GC2 church. They call us to live obediently, lead with integrity and serve faithfully – all in the name of Christ.
As we take steps forward in developing GC2 Strong, I am honored to share an exciting update on the prayerfully handpicked team leading this vital initiative. Each member of the team has been called to help shape the process for a network of churches that exemplify the mission of Jesus in both word and deed.
Joshua Minatrea serves as our process designer, bringing creativity and clarity to the framework that supports and strengthens GC2 churches. With a heart for expressions of the local church and a sharp eye for structure and innovation, Joshua is guiding our systems toward long-term sustainability and impact.
Jonathan Smith is our champion for flourishing church and compassion ministry. His leadership equips and encourages churches that are faithfully living out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission – planting new congregations, nurturing existing ones and demonstrating the love of Christ by serving others in real and practical ways.
Clinton Lowin serves as our champion for strengthening pastors/leaders. He is devoted to raising up healthy, holy leaders who live obediently to Scripture, proclaim the gospel with boldness and shepherd churches with integrity and spiritual maturity.
Noe Treviño leads as our champion for strengthening strategic missions partnerships, helping GC2 churches embrace and expand the kingship of Christ across communities and borders. He inspires churches to reproduce and multiply, advancing God’s kingdom of new churches both locally and globally.
We are also thrilled to welcome Ray Malone as the associate director of GC2 Strong. Ray joins me in overseeing the development and design of this transformative initiative. His experience, wisdom and passion for the church are already making a significant impact.
This is a massive and meaningful endeavor. Our prayer is that the GC2 Strong movement will equip and inspire churches across Texas and beyond to embody the way of Jesus – to love deeply, lead faithfully, serve selflessly and multiply joyfully.
We humbly ask for your prayers as this team works together to design and implement the future of GC2 Strong. May we all live with the Spirit-filled power and purpose of Acts 1:8 – to be His witnesses in our neighborhoods, cities, regions and to the ends of the earth.
