“It’s powerful for me to see everything y’all are doing around the state. Being a support to your spouses in ministry is so important, but you’re also doing your own ministries and making a huge impact. And I’ve loved traveling around and seeing that,” Monica Guarneri, wife of Texas Baptists Executive Director Julio Guarneri, said at the Minister Spouse Fellowship at the 2024 Texas Baptists Annual Meeting.

The Texas Baptist Hunger Offering (TBHO) celebrated a year of fruitful giving during their annual luncheon at the 2024 Texas Baptists Annual Meeting. Attendees heard firsthand of the Offering’s impact from a recipient in Sierra Leone and were encouraged to continue being a part of this collaborative offering by keynote speaker Texas Baptists Treasurer/CFO Ward Hayes.

The African American Fellowship Conference took place July 19-20 at Cornerstone Baptist Church of Killeen in Harker Heights, TX. The theme of the conference was “Legacy.”

Executive director Julio Guarneri outlined a rousing vision for the convention’s future during his Monday evening address at the May meeting of the Texas Baptists Executive Board. 

The Texas Baptists Christian Life Commission (CLC) joined other pro-life partners on April 3 to dedicate a new ultrasound machine at the Legacy Pregnancy Resource Center in Hobbs, New Mexico.

Julio Guarneri began his time of service as executive director of Texas Baptists with an all-staff luncheon hosted by the First Baptist Church in Garland, TX, on Thursday, Nov. 30.

1,900 messengers and visitors gathered in McAllen July 16-18 to take part in Texas Baptists’ Family Gathering, the 138th Annual Meeting of the Baptist General Convention of Texas.

Following a 30-minute discussion during the second business session, messengers to the 2023 Texas Baptists Family Gathering adopted an amended motion to affirm women in ministry.
