Executive Board

The September meeting of the Texas Baptists Executive Board was held on Sept. 22-23 in Dallas, TX. Board Directors approved the 2026 proposed budget, elected officers, heard ministry reports and considered 19 unique recommendations during the two-day business meeting. 

The May meeting of the Texas Baptists Executive Board was held on May 19-20 in Abilene, Texas, on the campus of Hardin-Simmons University. Board directors heard ministry reports and voted on business related to the new Texas Baptists Indemnity Program, GC2 Strong initiative and institutional relationship agreements. 

The February meeting of the Texas Baptists Executive Board was held on Feb. 17-18 in Dallas, TX. Board directors heard ministry reports and passed recommendations related to the NAMB/Texas Baptists church planting arrangement, the continued practice of welcoming churches that affirm traditional Baptist beliefs, the creation of a Texas Baptists Insurance Program and more. 

On Feb. 17, during the Evangelism Strategic Planning Committee meeting, Texas Baptists’ Evangelism director, Oza Jones, signed a memorandum of understanding with Pete Kelly, CEO of Apartment Life. The partnership helps Texas Baptists churches to identify and send missionaries to Apartment Life’s communities.

The Executive Committee of the Texas Baptists Executive Board heard a feasibility study and voted to launch a Texas Baptists captive insurance program during its Monday afternoon meeting in Dallas.

The September meeting of the Texas Baptists Executive Board was held on Sept. 23-24 in Dallas, TX.

Themes of unity over uniformity, a compelling kingdom focus and dutiful preparation for future opportunities marked the May meeting of the Texas Baptists Executive Board, which was held May 20-21 online and on the campus of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton.

Executive director Julio Guarneri outlined a rousing vision for the convention’s future during his Monday evening address at the May meeting of the Texas Baptists Executive Board. 

At the Sept. 29 business session of the Baptist General Convention of Texas Executive Board, it was unanimously approved to recommend a 2016 net budget of $35.42 million to messengers at the Nov. 8-10 Annual Meeting.
