Big Ministry in Small Towns Summit

These plenary sessions are designed to encourage the attendees as well as allow them to engage in mindful discussion and pray with one another.
 

Session One - Seeing the Community Through Jesus’ Eyes - Dr. Ira Antoine 

This interactive session will shift our perspective to view neighborhoods and communities as Jesus did, revolutionizing ministry and outreach. Using Scripture, we'll see how Christ's compassionate gaze reveals both deep needs and unique opportunities to share His love.
 

Session Two - The Power of a Consecrated Heart - Dr. William King, III

This session will emphasize the value and necessity of a deep commitment to Christ as the foundation for sharing the Gospel with others. People often observe our lives before they listen to our words.

These breakout sessions are designed to equip the attendees as well as allowing them to engage in focused dialogue around the topic. They will run concurrently. 

1. Sharing the Gospel & Defending Your Faith in the New Normal (Post-Pandemic) - Dr. Al Curley II
   
   Things are not the same after a global pandemic. This includes small towns and communities.  But one thing has not changed, the need to share the Gospel. In this session, the facilitator will challenge you to be intentional about sharing the Gospel, defend your faith, and offer practical ways to do so in a post-pandemic world.  
    
2. All Gens Matter: Ministering to all Generations – Dr. Shaphin Martin 
   
   We are living in a time when multiple generations attend the same church. Builders, Boomers, Busters, and Gen X, Y, Z all attend the church. They all matter to God so they should all matter to us. All Gens Matters! In this session, the facilitator will give us a biblical foundation with practical application on how to minister to every generation God sends to our church.
    
3. Mobilizing Women for Missions - Dr. Evelyn McDaniel
   
   God has given women the privilege, ability, and responsibility to be students and ministers of His Word for the building up of His church. This breakout will discuss how we might mobilize women of all ages from ministry and missions. 
    
4. Mental Health & Soul Care in Small Towns - Dr. Yuri Solomon
   
   People are people whether in the heart of Metropolitan cities or the middle of less known places. However, common themes in soul care and pastoral counseling emerge in different places. This breakout will focus on the issues that arise most frequently in small-town Texas, as well as the most surprising things that aren't different in a small town.
    
5. Ministering to Families with Children - Dr. Larry Lazare
   
   Most churches are trying to figure out what Family Ministry looks like in their specific context. The church needs to have an intentional plan on how to minister to families.  In this breakout we will talk about some of the different ways churches can minister to families with teenagers and children at home. 
    
6. Faith and Finance - Jim Graham, STCH Facilitator
   
   In this session, we will share principles and practices of faithful stewardship that allows a person to be financially sound.
