What is the recommendation on car rental for those flying?
Instead of renting a car the airports offer shuttle services to the Galveston Island Convention Center and Hotel. You will need to set up your own transportation. There are plenty of dining options within walking distance to the hotel convention center if you decide to use shuttle/car-sharing services.
Will there be child care?
Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate children at this event – we thank you for your understanding.
What meals will be provided?
Dinner for Sunday will be provided as well as lunch for Monday. All other meals are at your own expense.
Are hotel accommodations included in the cost?
Hotel accommodation included in the cost is for Sunday and Monday night.
How long does it take to get to the hotel from the airport?
From IAH Airport to the Galveston Island Convention Center and Hotel it is a 75-90 minute car ride. From Houston Hobby Airport it is a 45 minute car ride to the Galveston Island Convention Center and Hotel.
What is required for check-in at the hotel?
The hotel requires a name, identification, and a credit or debit card to put on file. Texas Baptists will get charged for the room, however the card on file will be used for any additional personal charges such as room service that are beyond the room and tax.
