Daniel Semsen

6-Time Dove-Award Winner Daniel Semsen is a composer/arranger/orchestrator for TV and film in Hollywood, CA, as well as an acclaimed choral music arranger for churches around the world! Writing for the past 14 years for choral companies such as Word, Brentwood Benson, Lifeway and Prism, he and his wife, Christy started Semsen Music in 2021 to serve the church in the absence of multiple companies having to close.

He is the Worship Pastor at Village Church in Burbank, CA and has a passion for leading people into the presence of God through music, as well as creating community through multi- generational choirs and orchestra. His TV and film credits include writing for the Emmy Award-winning TV series Travelscope on PBS, and various films such as the SyFy movie “Fire and Ice”, the Sacha Baron Cohen comedy, “The Dictator”, the Disney DVD “101 Dalmatians (2-Disc Platinum Edition)”, and the Mandalay Pictures/Sony Pictures film, “When the Game Stands Tall.” Daniel’s orchestrations were heard across the world during the Opening Ceremonies of the XXI Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada, creating the orchestrations for music featuring artists Bryan Adams, Nelly Furtado, and Nikki Yanofsky.

Daniel has a B.A. in Music Theory/Composition from Azusa Pacific University(2001). He and his wife Christy reside in Burbank, CA. and have two sons in college, Nathaniel (22) and Noah (20).

Cliff Duren

Cliff Duren is the Worship Pastor at First Baptist Church Woodstock, GA where he oversees the areas of music, production, and communications. This is Cliff’s second time on staff at FBCW. Initially, his role was to play piano, lead worship for FBCW’s Chapel venue, and write music for the Worship Choir & Orchestra. Before returning to FBCW, Cliff and his family moved to Nashville, TN for nine years, where he served in several different worship-leading roles across the eight campuses of Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood, TN.

In addition, Cliff is a song writer, arranger, orchestrator, and producer of church music resources for various publishers and Christian artists. As a result, he is a guest speaker and clinician at multiple worship retreats and conferences each year. In 2017, Cliff composed his first film score for the Christian film, “Champion.” He has also recorded three instrumental albums featuring piano & orchestra and five albums as a vocal member of the trio, Overflow, alongside his wife, April, and vocalist, Heather Richardson. Cliff is a five-time Dove Award winner for his contributions in Christian music.

Cliff became a Christian at age seventeen and soon after pursued a music education degree from Shorter University in Rome, GA and a graduate degree in church music from Lee University in Cleveland, TN. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in worship studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Dallas, TX. In March of 2002, Cliff married his college sweetheart, April. They reside in Woodstock, GA with their four children; Mac, Sydney, Elijah & Emma Kate.
