The Texas Baptist Missions Foundation (TBMF) celebrated 40 years of generosity in 2025. In ongoing celebration, TBMF has compiled a book that shares the history of the foundation’s work and stories of donors. 

As I continue to reflect on the 140th anniversary of the Baptist General Convention of Texas, I am filled with gratitude. The legacy of cooperation has been deep and wide. One of the gifts from God in our history is the formation of the Cooperative Program.

Many pastors today face significant challenges in church leadership, including avoiding burnout, balancing ministry and family life, navigating cultural pressures and leading congregations through seasons of change. To help navigate these challenges, we compiled a list of 15 questions pastors are asking with answers. 

More than 70 pastors and leaders gather in Tyler to be encouraged and equipped for gospel ministry in small town contexts. 

The Texas Baptists Office of Cooperative Program welcomed Jeff Donnell as its new director. He transitioned from his prior position with the Adult Ministries Team at Lakepointe Church in Rockwall. He assumed the position on April 13.

As we begin the month of May, we find ourselves between Easter Sunday and Pentecost Sunday. We rejoice in the hope of Christ’s resurrection. Like the apostles in the first-century church, we continue to proclaim the Easter message beyond Easter Sunday.

This summer, Texas Baptists Music & Worship is holding its first annual Songwriting Competition. Director of Texas Baptists Music & Worship Tom Tillman said the contest provides a meaningful way to step into the music publishing space. 

April 27-29, Texas Baptists’ Discipleship & NextGen ministry hosted their annual Discipleship Leaders Retreat. With the theme “Growing Stronger Small Groups,” attendees received training in keynote sessions led by Rick Howerton, opportunities for rest and fellowship.
