DALLAS, TEXAS — KingsCover Insurance Services has officially adopted a new name — Dominion First Insurance Services, LLC. The agency's mission, ownership, leadership and team remain exactly the same as it continues serving as The Agency Partner of Texas Baptists and a Premier partner in the KingsCover Underwriters program.
“The BGCT launched KingsCover Church Insurance Program in partnership with Risk Theory (a Dallas-based insurance parent company) to provide affordable, A-rated insurance tailored to the needs of Baptist churches in Texas. God put this program together, and He gets all the glory for its success!” said Craig Christina, associate executive director for Texas Baptists.
As the program's largest agency by book of business, Dominion First holds a Premier partner position that translates into pricing, terms, and claims-handling advantages for the churches and ministries it serves. As an independent agency, Dominion First also maintains access to markets beyond the KingsCover Underwriters program, allowing it to place coverage for risks that fall outside that program's appetite.
The name Dominion First reflects the agency's guiding mission: faithful stewardship. In its truest biblical sense, dominion is not about control but about the faithful care and protection of what has been entrusted to us — and that is the role Dominion First plays on behalf of the churches and ministries who trust the agency with their risk management.
“As our agency has continued to grow, we wanted a name that better reflects who we are, our mission and where we're headed,” said Lauren Howard, Agency vice president. “Dominion First represents our commitment to faithful stewardship, while our commitment to clients remains exactly the same. We remain The Agency Partner of Texas Baptists and a KingsCover Underwriters Premier Partner.”
Since launching on November 1, 2025, the agency has delivered more than $3 million in estimated premium savings to clients, grown to more than 400 church and ministry clients and expanded licensing across 16 states — growth that continues under the new name.
The agency operates exclusively in the church and ministry space, offering property and general liability, specialty liability lines such as crime, kidnap and ransom, EPLI, D&O, and abuse and molestation coverage, along with employee benefits liability, workers' compensation, hired and non-owned auto, cyber liability, excess coverage and mission travel protection.
“We saved almost $7,000 a year, we expanded our coverage, they took out coverage we did not need, and the team was very patient and professional. We highly recommend Dominion First!” said Pastor Robbie Weems of First Baptist Church Vincent, Alabama.
“Our church was underinsured, and our premiums were high. Through KingsCover Insurance, we gained nearly $10 million in additional coverage while reducing our annual premium by 35% while also lowering our deductible! The (Dominion First) agent was knowledgeable, professional, and attentive to our church’s needs. We are grateful to Texas Baptists for putting together a program that provides such tremendous value to churches like ours,” said Adam Pardue, pastor of Highland Baptist Church, Lubbock, Texas.
For existing clients, nothing changes, but the name — policies, coverage, service teams and phone numbers all remain the same. New and existing clients alike can now find the agency at its new website and email domain, live as of July 24, 2026, www.dominionfirst.com and [at]dominionfirst.com. Email sent to legacy [at]KingsCover.com addresses will continue to be automatically forwarded to the new domain.
