Studying the Bible to Teach It – Dr George Evans (English) and Pastor Adan Rodriguez (Spanish)
Effectively teaching the Bible requires different preparation than personal Bible study. This session will equip Bible teachers with study and preparation techniques to help others grow spiritually. We will learn advanced methods for delivering impactful biblical teaching through a thorough understanding of scriptural interpretation, considering historical, cultural, literary, and origin contexts.
Age-Appropriate Teaching Techniques for Effective Ministry
Effective teaching of school-aged children requires varied approaches. These breakout sessions will equip you with age-appropriate and proven techniques to effectively share the Gospel. Learn methods tailored to different age groups to maximize your impact.
Led by Dr. Ira Antoine, Director, Bivocational Ministry, Texas Baptists
Session One – Resign or Re-Sign: Which Should I Do?
Pastors sometimes question their calling due to the overwhelming demands and challenges of ministry. This session will openly discuss the reasons why some pastors feel like quitting yet feel compelled to persevere in their work of shepherding.
Session Two – Seeing the Valley Through Jesus’ Eyes
In this interactive session, we'll explore how shifting our perspective to see our neighborhoods and communities as Jesus sees them can revolutionize our approach to ministry and outreach. Through Scripture reflection, we'll discover how Christ's compassionate gaze reveals both the deep needs around us and the unique opportunities we have to share His love.
This summit is made possible through the generous gifts to the Mary Hill Davis Offering for Texas Missions.
