Concert of Prayer

There has been so many opportunities for these BOUNCERS to worship God throughout this week and it's not over yet!! It has been really amazing to see the excitement and joy these BOUNCERS have when planning, training, and engaging the communities they are impacting with their church planters! While the BOUNCERS are a little tired from their week, they are still pouring out their hearts in worship for God! Last night, we had Concert of Prayer for the BOUNCERS! We focused on 'LOVE' in the theme verse of the week 1 Timothy 4:12

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity."

BOUNCERS were given the opportunity to reverently and peacefully focus on God and the commands He has given us to live out. By living in love, we are all meant to set an example of being like Christ. During the Concert of Prayer, BOUNCERS were able to find peace in praying for their neighbors, those they see as enemies, and the lost people they continue to encounter. There was a challenging quote by J.D. Greear stated from his book Gospel Above All that said, "If God, in one fell swoop, answered all the prayers members in your church prayed last week, how many new people would be in the kingdom?" Concert of Prayer is such a great reminder for how important prayer truly is. But even though we may be praying to God, we must focus on what we are praying. Are they selfish prayers? Prayers for comfort and healing? Are they prayers about wisdom in decision making? Whatever the answer is, we are glad that there are prayers going to God. But how many times are we praying for people's salvation? Prayers that impact someone's eternity? While these are big idea, these questions need to be asked so that live out the life Jesus Christ is calling us to live. We pray that these BOUNCERS will not just leave these thoughts about salvation for a mission trip or church planting, but continue to live by these ideals daily. We must continue to live out what Jesus has told us:

"What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about the one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish." Matthew 18:12-14

The challenge is to always be looking for one lost soul instead of staying in our comfort zone with the ninety-nine. Please be praying for the BOUNCERS as they continue this week of evangelizing with their church planters and to bring these skills back home, so that lives can be changed because of obedience to God!

Concert of Prayer was such a great opportunity for the BOUNCERS! It shows us how much we need to depend on God during church planting, which sounds easy but we get caught up in our own ideas and not God's plan. Proverbs 16:9:

"In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps."

Whatever God's plan is, it will take place. So, let us be obedient to Him in all that we do and ready to always be praising Him through our words and actions. From Concert of Prayer, one BOUNCER talked about how she finally had peace about a difficult relationship with a classmate she had and that peace was very healing for her. We pray that this is the experience of all BOUNCERS to continue to wholeheartedly pray to God about loving our neighbors, enemies, and any lost soul, so that brothers and sisters in Christ are produced!
