Last month, Texas Baptists Go Now Missions appointed 175 students to serve as Summer, Impact and Fall Semester missionaries. These students come from 41 campuses across Texas and will serve alongside ministries in the state, as well as around the U.S. and globe.

Texas Baptists and national marriage ministry Communio are announcing a new statewide partnership aimed at helping churches care for marriages, support pastors and church leaders and reach families across Texas with the love and truth of Jesus Christ. 

A partnership recently forged between WatersEdge and Texas Baptists will mean church pastors and other ministry leaders in Texas can now focus more of their time, energy and resources on advancing the gospel rather than managing their church’s finances.

This week, I had the opportunity to visit one of Texas Baptists’ endorsed chaplains at the Pentagon. While we pray for peace and the end of war, it is so good to know there are capable and committed chaplains ministering to our men and women in the military in Christ’s name.

In September 2025, the Texas Baptist Missions Foundation held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new Baptist Student Ministry building at Baylor University.

Rafael Araujo and his wife Sarah, serve as MAP missionaries in Canada, planting two churches with the focus of equipping believers ‘for the work of ministry.’

Part of our legacy as Texas Baptists has to do with what we call institutions. By that we mean universities, seminaries, colleges, academies, hospitals, human care agencies and others. Currently, Texas Baptists collaborate with 30 institutions and ministries.
