This has been a full and exciting week for your Texas Baptists staff as we’ve just concluded our January Staff Week.
BGCT and NAMB have established a renewed church-starting agreement, providing eligible Texas Baptists churches with access to NAMB funding and Send Network resources.
At their annual banquet held Monday in Waco, Texas Baptists Intercultural Ministries celebrated the work happening in diverse churches across the state. Referring to the Convention’s overall theme of “His Kingdom Agenda,” Intercultural Ministries Director Mark Heavener opened the event by thanking the various congregations present.
The Texas Baptist Hunger Offering (TBHO) celebrated a year of fruitful giving during their annual luncheon at the 2024 Texas Baptists Annual Meeting. Attendees heard firsthand of the Offering’s impact from a recipient in Sierra Leone and were encouraged to continue being a part of this collaborative offering by keynote speaker Texas Baptists Treasurer/CFO Ward Hayes.

The Texas Baptist Missions Foundation announced Tuesday that the Mabee Foundation has awarded a $1.3 million Challenge Grant toward the construction of the new Baptist Student Ministry Center at Baylor University.
The African American Fellowship Conference took place July 19-20 at Cornerstone Baptist Church of Killeen in Harker Heights, TX. The theme of the conference was “Legacy.”
