Looking Forward to Seeing BOUNCERS Continue at Home

by Jordan Pitman on July 21, 2017 in BOUNCE

BOUNCERS are moving right along at their worksite.  We continue to have media coverage, which helps spread the word, not only of the gospel, but of the need for service in this community.  Our participants have been noticed by neighbors and others in the community, and our hope is that this work would continue even after BOUNCE is gone.

Worship this week has also been exceptional.  Our BOUNCE staff enjoys joining in worship with our participants, listening to them sing, read scripture and pray during the service.  It has been a great way to wrap up each day of work.

As we wrap up this week and the summer, we look forward to seeing students and student leaders continuing to serve their communities, Texas, and the world.  Serving a week at BOUNCE should spur our churches to serve like Jesus did,

Today, Scott Rhodes, our Local Logistics Coordinator, had some volunteers preparing shaved ice as students arrived back from their worksites.  It was a nice treat for a hot day, and was greatly appreciated by our BOUNCERS!

Be in continued prayer for the community and its residents that have and will be impacted by the work of our BOUNCERS.  Also pray for the health and safety of our participants as tomorrow will be another hot day!

Texas Baptists is a movement of God’s people to share Christ and show love by strengthening churches and ministers, engaging culture and connecting the nations to Jesus.

The ministry of the convention is made possible by giving through the Texas Baptists Cooperative Program, Mary Hill Davis Offering® for Texas Missions, Texas Baptists Worldwide and Texas Baptist Missions Foundation. Thank you for your faithful and generous support.
