Texas Baptists en Español

Church leadership and members from Hispanic Baptist churches across Texas gathered Sunday at the 2024 Texas Baptists Annual Meeting to encourage one another in the work of their diverse congregations. They were also reminded of Jesus’ agenda in ministry in a message from Dr. Albert Reyes, president and CEO of Buckner International.

Today in chapel, Texas Baptists en Español, under the leadership of director Rolando Rodriguez, hosted the third annual Hispanic Heritage Month service focusing on the vital ministry of Compañerismos across the state. Read the full recap here.

“By investing in these students, we are ministering, discipling, mentoring and developing leaders that will impact the generations that are coming behind them. Our churches do not need more members; our churches need more disciples of Jesus, and this is what this program is about: making disciples that make disciples.”

Hispanic Baptists joined for fellowship, worship and encouragement at the Hispanic Rally held at First Baptist Woodway during the first night of the 2019 Texas Baptists Annual Meeting.

To do the work of God, the Church must have a mission. It's in the Great Commandment and in the Great Commission.
