Edwin and Melinda Pacheco, who serve as North American Mission Board (NAMB) missionaries in Brooklyn, New York, were both born and raised in the city. They minister in the Red Hook neighborhood, just across the river from the Statue of Liberty.

There are not many tourists who visit Red Hook. It is riddled with drugs, alcohol and poverty. This is where the Pachecos are raising their daughters. It is also where they planted Redemption Church on Hicks Street at West 9th.

The church tackles poverty through their powerful food ministry. And the Pachecos also take the Gospel to the people, initiating dialogues on the street.

Edwin y Melinda Pacheco, misioneros para la Junta de Misiones Norteamericanas (NAMB) en Brooklyn, Nueva York, nacieron y se criaron en la ciudad. Ellos ministran en el vecindario Red Hook, justo al otro lado del río desde la Estatua de la Libertad.

No hay muchos turistas que visitan Red Hook. El vecindario está plagado de drogas, alcohol, y pobreza. Aquí es donde los Pacheco están criando a sus hijas. También es el lugar donde plantaron la Iglesia Redención en la Calle Hicks y West 9th.
