Ministerial Financial Assistance

Available to students attending a Texas Baptists college and pursuing a church-related vocational career, including serving on a church staff, career missions, campus ministries, Christian counseling, and chaplaincy.

In order to receive Ministerial Financial Assistance, students must:
  • demonstrate a lifestyle of commitment to the principles of the Christian life;
  • show evidence of a call to church-related vocational ministry;
  • provide written and verbal testimony of a personal call to church-related vocational ministry;
  • be in compliance with any additional requirements or policies of the institution and Texas Baptists;
  • be endorsed by a pastor of a Baptist church.
Once a student qualifies for MFA, they must renew annually. For renewal, students must:
  • demonstrate a lifestyle of commitment to the principles of the Christian life;
  • show evidence of a all to church-related vocational ministry, i.e., church staff, career missions, chaplaincy, campus ministries, Christian counseling;
  • provide written and verbal testimony of a personal call to church-related vocational ministry;
  • maintain a 2.0 "C" average or its equivalent;
  • be making satisfactory progress toward an eligible degree program at the institution;
  • be endorsed by a pastor of a Texas Baptists affiliated church.
