On Sunday, June 7 at Independence Baptist Church, Joel Allison, retired chief executive officer of Baylor Scott & White Health, and Chris Simmons, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Dallas, received the 2026 Texas Baptists Legacy Award.

The Texas Baptist Missions Foundation (TBMF) celebrated 40 years of generosity in 2025. In ongoing celebration, TBMF has compiled a book that shares the history of the foundation’s work and stories of donors. 

“It’s hard to live in the unknown, but every month we’ve had everything we needed. Abundance shows up when God is in every moment,” he said, noting thankfulness to other churches who have sponsored the work to help them get established. “He constantly provides, no matter what the budget looks like.”

The Center for Missional Engagement hosted their annual Missions Team Banquet on Nov. 11 at the 2024 Texas Baptists Annual Meeting, highlighting and celebrating BOUNCE. Attendees heard from Scott Stevens, vice president of Texas Baptist Missions Foundation and former BOUNCE coordinator, and a panel of ministers on the impact of BOUNCE.
