Bill Arnold, president of the Texas Baptist Missions Foundation (TBMF), has announced his retirement after 36 years of leading the foundation and more than 40 years of service with Texas Baptists.
Liebrum’s life has been a testament to the impact of cooperative missions and ministry and the importance of institutional partnerships.
On Aug. 1, Texas Baptists will join with 16 other Baptist state conventions to host the Resourcing Worship Virtual Conference. The conference will be a virtual training for church leaders involved in worship ministry.
The Executive Board of the Baptist General Convention of Texas held a special called business meeting on June 16 to consider changes to the 2020 Annual Meeting in light of the global pandemic.
“COVID-19 will not defeat or define us, it is going to make us better,” Convention President Michael Evans, Sr., said, pointing to the promise of Romans 8:28 that God works all things together for the good of those who love him.
“I’m excited about the marriage between politics and Scripture in this role.”
