More than 1,600 participants in-person and online gathered together for the 2021 Texas Baptists Annual Meeting Nov. 14-16.

Two convention officers were re-elected to serve for a second term and a new second vice president was elected during the Monday morning business session at the 136th Annual Meeting of the Baptist General Convention of Texas Monday in Galveston.

Directors approved the 2022 proposed budget, elected officers, heard ministry reports, and approved business related to 26 unique recommendations.

The February 2021 Executive Board meeting was altered to accommodate weather-related emergencies from Winter Storms Uri and Violet. Despite this, committees were able to hold meetings across a weeklong period and passed three resolutions.
