Bouncers Leave a Lasting Impact in Rockport, TX

by Cherish Mason on July 20, 2018 in BOUNCE

Today marks the end of the final Bounce Summer 2018 Mission! It’s been a good week in the Rockport area as Bouncers finish up their projects. This week 250 students from eleven churches helped to rebuild the Rockport community. The work that Bouncers have done this week will have a lasting impact in homeowners' lives.

This summer Bounce has mobilized hundreds of students to engage in disaster recovery work in Harvey affected communities. Bounce Student Disaster Recovery is thankful for all of the churches and organizations that helped to make the Bounce Summer 2018 missions possible!

Not only did students help to rebuild Harvey affected areas and restore hope to homeowners, they also had the opportunity to grow in their relationship with Christ. Students opened God’s word together during their Team Devotional time and alone during their quiet times with God at their work sites each morning. Randy Beggs, the Worship Speaker, emphasized the importance of being a witness for Christ wherever the students are at, and to whomever the Holy Spirit places in their lives. Our hope is that students would leave Bounce with a love for missions and that they would continue to live on mission even after this week at Bounce!

This has been a fun week at Bounce, and we hope to see everyone again next year!

Texas Baptists is a movement of God’s people to share Christ and show love by strengthening churches and ministers, engaging culture and connecting the nations to Jesus.

The ministry of the convention is made possible by giving through the Texas Baptists Cooperative Program, Mary Hill Davis Offering® for Texas Missions, Texas Baptists Worldwide and Texas Baptist Missions Foundation. Thank you for your faithful and generous support.
