As Texas Tech University’s campus grows, so does the ministry and vision of Tech Baptist Student Ministry (BSM). Through a partnership between BSM, the Texas Baptist Missions Foundation (TBMF) and many generous donors, a new building was completed for the Tech BSM in the summer of 2019.
Since its inception in 1984, TBMF has helped thousands of donors support mission projects across the state. Through the Mission Foundation’s connection, Dr. Robert Pinder agreed to be the lead donor of the Tech BSM building campaign. The Cooperative Program covered the Mission Foundation’s operating costs, so that 100% of the donations made to the campaign went directly to the building’s construction.
This new facility has generated excitement among an increasing student population and provides additional space that was previously lacking, including a prayer room, missions room, leadership training area and larger meeting room. These areas serve as a catalyst to help Tech BSM members accomplish their vision of reaching their campus.
Because of our church’s gifts through the Cooperative Program, the Texas Baptist Missions Foundation is able to connect donors to various ministries and churches in need. Let’s pray today for TBMF, their donors and the work made possible by this foundation.
