In an effort to help our churches, Texas Baptists leaders compiled the following suggestions and ideas as you seek to minister and care for your congregation and community during this time. Each church may determine for itself which ideas might work in its context.

During the Feb. meeting of the Baptist General Convention of Texas Executive Board, directors unanimously elected Ward Hayes to serve as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Treasurer.

Ward Hayes, senior pastor of Valley Grove Baptist Church in Stephenville and current board chair, was elected to serve as the new Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer of the Baptist General Convention of Texas.

Baptist General Convention of Texas Executive Board directors joined together to lay hands on and pray for Hardin-Simmons University (HSU) President Eric Bruntmyer during the Monday evening session of the Feb. board meeting.

Texas Baptists will receive $1 million from Lilly Endowment Inc. to continue the expansion of the Center for Financial Health, a ministry dedicated to promoting the financial health of pastors.

Texas Baptists Associate Executive Director Craig Christina presented the award to Baylor President Linda Livingstone.
